I enter Seafoam Islands, which has many Ice and Water-type Pokémon, and if you want to take the Fuchsia City route to Cinnabar Island, you will need to get through Seafoam Islands. This cave is also the home of Articuno, the Legendary Bird of Ice, so this will be a tough challenge.

As the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description.

I did do the Coach Trainer battle in the previous part and I already went over some of the Pokémon in Seafoam Islands, those being the Slowpoke line, Seel line and Jynx, you can also find Zubat and Golbat, but they are in about every cave in the game, and there is a special spawn for Seafoam Islands, and that is Squirtle.
There is a new encounter in the waters of Seafoam Islands, and that is Shellder, and a 1% encounter with its evolved form Cloyster. I recommend catching it as a Shellder, because if caught at Level 40, it will know Shell Smash, which is one of the best moves in the game, as it increases Speed and both Attack stats, while lowering its Defenses, and Shellder is one of very few Pokémon that can learn the move. As for when to evolve it, make sure you have Shell Smash, because Cloyster does not learn it. It will have Ice Beam, and can be taught Surf through TM. Cloyster has the highest Defense in the game, so it should be able to take many Physical hits, but it unfortunately cannot take Special hits due to its low Special Defense. Cloyster's movepool is very limited, because the only other move it would get for coverage is Poison Jab, and you will need Surf, Ice Beam and Shell Smash. This thing is a solid addition to the team if you are looking for a high Defense Pokémon, even though it is outclassed by Lapras, who has a better movepool than Cloyster.
The Secret Technique of Strong Push is required to getting through Seafoam Islands, as there are a lot of heavy obstacles to get through, and there is a TM for Ice Beam, which is a great move to teach to your Pokémon, most Water-types can make use of that move.
After clearing the puzzle, you can take on Articuno, a Legendary Ice/Flying-type Pokémon. All of its stats will be boosted, so Articuno will deal some damage with Ice Beam, and it has Mirror Coat to send Special moves like Thunderbolt and Flamethrower back to the user for double damage, and while it is 4x weak to Rock, the downside is that Rhydon and Golem easily get taken out by Articuno's Ice Beam. If you have a Lapras on your team, it 4x resists Articuno's Ice Beam and can use Toxic and stall it out, catching Articuno will be tricky, because when it is surrounded in ice crystals, it will make berries useless, and it is flying around.
As for Articuno, if you don't mind using Legendaries, Articuno is a great Ice-type to add to your team, it comes at Level 50 and has Ice Beam right away. Unfortunately, its movepool is limited, Roost and U-turn are the only other moves it would make use of, but Ice Beam is the main reason why you would use Articuno. It is quite Defensive, and since Ice is not a good type defensively, as it does have a lot of weaknesses, and Articuno is crippled by its 4x weakness to Rock.
I didn't want to make the video too short, so the second half of this video will be exiting Seafoam Islands and going through the rest of Route 20 to Cinnabar Island.
