This part is practically all about battles. I head back into the Pokémon Tower, and we can use the Silph Scope to identify the bothersome ghosts which turn out to be Pokémon. After making it to the fifth floor, Cubone is able to see its mother one last time (22:26). With the ghost no longer blocking our way, we can go to the sixth floor to meet Mr. Fuji. Unfortunately, we have to battle Jessie & James once again (25:35) before we can finally speak to him. Fuji takes us back down to his house, and gives us the Poké Flute, which will be helpful in waking up the two sleeping Snorlax.

This is where the grinding begins, as I head to Route 12 (30:23; also known as Silence Bridge) and battle every trainer. We reach the sleeping Snorlax on this route and capture it (37:48). In this game, you first have to make stationary Pokémon faint within five minutes, then you will be able to capture then. After successfully capturing Snorlax, I heal, and keep on going through Route 12. I go through Routes 13 (52:14), 14 (1:06:46), and 15 (1:23:17), defeating every trainer to the point where my entire party becomes pretty overleveled. After making it to Fuchsia City, I head back to Celadon City, stock up on some more items, and save before battling the other Snorlax on Route 16.
