I head into the Pokémon Tower and battle the Rival once more (4:18). Afterward, we try to go up to the second floor, but once we reach there, we, along with Cubone, are warded off by ghosts. Team Rocket steals said Cubone and takes it to their Hideout in Celadon City, so I go to Route 8, defeating the trainers there, and use the Underground Path to reach it. We see Brock at 32:57, where he gives us some Pewter Crunchies and Tea, where the latter will be very helpful. After looking around Celadon City, I head to the Gym (39:40), and take on Erika (49:14), the Grass type Gym Leader. After an easy win with Charmeleon, I take on the Rocket Grunt (56:24), which eventually leaves open a switch that reveals the Team Rocket Hideout. I go through it in its entirety, eventually taking on Jessie & James (1:14:36), Archer (1:17:56), and the head of Team Rocket, Giovanni (1:21:04). After defeating him, he gives you the Silph Scope, and Cubone heads back to Lavender Town on its own.

After exiting the Game Corner, the Secret Technique, Sky Dash is available for Pikachu to learn (1:28:15). After that, I spend time stocking up on items, then give the Tea to the guard (1:34:19) who gives us access to Saffron City. Then, I head to Lavender Town and save.
