As soon as I start, I battle and catch the other Snorlax that is blocking Route 16. Upon doing so, I go through Pokémon Road (previously known as Cycling Road) which consists of Routes 16, 17, and 18. Once I finish battling every trainer and catch a few Pokémon, I quickly head to Route 19 where Jessie gives me the Gold Teeth item, which belong to the Warden. I finally take on the Fuchsia City gym (42:41), which requires you to have 50 Pokémon registered to your Pokédex before being allowed to challenge it. After defeating the underlings, I battle Koga (51:37) and get the Soul Badge. After that, I go to the Warden to give him his Gold Teeth (57:40), and in return, gives us the Safari Set and teaches Pikachu the Secret Skill, Strong Push. Then I go to another trainer who teaches Pikachu the final Secret Skill, Sea Skim (1:01:57).

After stocking up at the Poké Mart, I go through Route 19 (1:04:16) and 20 (1:15:57), taking on every trainer in the area. Then, I enter the Seafoam Island (1:18:58), and traverse the dungeon, eventually battling and catching Articuno (1:30:04). After catching it, I go through the second exit, battle some more trainers on Route 20, reach Cinnabar Island (1:52:47), and save at the Pokémon Center.
