Here is the final part of the main playthrough. I go to Viridian Gym (1:15) and find out that it is still locked. This starts a sequence where we go back to Professor Oak’s lab, and Blue gives us a Key Stone along with Charizardite X, Charizardite Y, Blastoisinite, and Venasaurite. With this powerup in hand, I go back to Viridian Gym and find out that it is open (5:40). After battling the underlings, I face the gym leader, who turns out to be Giovanni (14:03). After defeating him, he hands over the Earth Badge and disbands Team Rocket, supposedly turning over a new leaf. Upon exiting the gym, Blue announces that he will become the new Viridian City Gym Leader. I take a small detour to Mt. Moon to try to find some more Moon Stones before heading back to Viridian City and stock up on items.

Now that I have all eight badges, I head out west to Route 22, and battle the Rival once again (28:09). After the battle, I head up, and make my way to Victory Road, going through every guard on the way. As usual, once I head inside (37:22), I battle every trainer and obtain every item. I come across Moltres (57:59), but take a bit longer to catch it. After doing so (1:02:10), I finally make it to the Pokémon League, and a little cutscene happens with Pikachu (1:16:22). I heal and stock up on items, and finally take on the Elite Four and Champion. After finally beating the game, the credits roll, the Rival tells me about a powerful new Pokémon in Cerulean Cave, and I save at the house where it all started.
