Next is Poké Cup, and I take on the Poké Ball difficulty in Round 2, and the Trainers are harder than in Round 1. In Poké Cup, Pokémon that are from Levels 50 to 55 can be used, and the total level of Pokémon participating must not exceed 155. The Trainers in Poké Cup usually have a team of two Level 50 Pokémon, two Level 51 Pokémon, and two Level 54 Pokémon, or four Level 50 Pokémon and two Level 55 Pokémon.

The battles are harder, as the Trainers add some strategy to their teams, but there are some they specialize in, like Rain Dance and Surf, Defense Curl and Rollout, inflicting status with moves like Swagger, using Attract, Thief, Icy Wind, and many other moves. In case you are wondering, Smeargle can learn Sacred Fire and Aeroblast, with its signature move Sketch, Smeargle can learn any move, I won't go too much into each team as there isn't much description space to go over everything, but while Poké Ball is supposed to be the easier difficulty level, the Trainers have more variety in Round 2 with Gen 1 moves, Crystal moves, and Egg Moves on some Pokémon.
