Next up are two Paradox Pokémon for this Tera Raid Event, and those two are Brute Bonnet, exclusive to Pokémon Scarlet, and Iron Hands, the Paradox Pokémon exclusive to Pokémon Violet, both are very slow Pokémon with high HP and Attack. While they can appear with any Tera Type, you will most likely find Brute Bonnet with the Poison Tera Type, and Iron Hands with the Grass Tera Type.
Going over the Paradox Pokémon, Brute Bonnet has Spore, Seed Bomb, Payback, and Stomping Tantrum for moves, and its extra moves are Sunny Day and Taunt. Iron Hands has Wild Charge, Drain Punch, Earthquake, and Heavy Slam, with Electric Terrain and Rock Slide for additional moves. At the start of the battle is when they use Sunny Day and Electric Terrain to activate their Abilities, Brute Bonnet has Protosynthesis, its most likely boosted stat is Attack, but it can boost Defense or Special Defense depending on its Nature and IVs, and Iron Hands has Quark Drive and it will get an Attack boost, but it can get a Defense boost if it has like a Bold Nature and lower Attack IVs than Defense.
At 75% HP is when they use their other additional move, Brute Bonnet has Taunt, and Iron Hands has Rock Slide, they activate their shield at 55% HP or 40% time, their stats reset at 50% HP, reduce your Tera Orb charge at 40% HP, and reset your stats at 25% HP.
These two are very challenging opponents without the correct counters, Brute Bonnet can be tricky due to Spore, which means you will need to give one of your Pokémon the Safety Goggles to block Spore, Pokémon with Sweet Veil, like Alcremie, can make good teammates as this will prevent allies from falling asleep, and it can use Charm and Fake Tears to lower Brute Bonnet's stats and Decorate to power up an ally, the Poison Tera Type Brute Bonnet can be tricky as its has Seed Bomb to handle Ground-type Pokémon and Payback to deal with Psychic-type Pokémon. I found that Hatterene when paired with Alcremie was a good choice as Hatterene does get Magic Bounce to send back any status moves Brute Bonnet uses. Pokémon with Overcoat, like Kommo-o, Forretress, and Leavanny are decent Pokémon, Kommo-o can use Breaking Swipe, while Forretress and Leavanny can use Lunge to decrase Brute Bonnet's Attack.
Iron Hands was the difficult one, my initial plan was to use Venusaur and go with Sunny Day, Growth, Acid Spray, and Sludge Bomb, but I kept getting many failed attempts, I had one where a player used a Talonflame, which is 4x weak to Rock. In the end, I ended up going with a support Mew, which I did give the Stellar Tera Type to, and its moves are Chilling Water and Mud-Slap to lower its stats, and Misty Terrain to remove the Electric Terrain on the first turn. Iron Hands can be a tough Pokémon to counter, as it does have Earthquake to deal with any Skeledirge users, Heavy Slam to handle any Fairy-types like Sylveon, and it has a massive Attack stat. For best counters, Arceus is a good option for any Iron Hands Tera Raid, but it mostly based on the Tera Type, a teammate that can lower its Attack is best for this.
Time to go over them, the Poison Tera Type for Brute Bonnet is great defensively, this removes its weakness to Bug, and it is more a Pokémon best for Double Battles, as it can learn Rage Powder to redirect attacks, Brute Bonnet has a higher Attack stat to put moves like Sucker Punch, Seed Bomb, Close Combat, Stomping Tantrum, and many others, as a Tera Raid Pokémon, Brute Bonnet faces competition with better options like Kingambit or Ogerpon when it comes to Dark and Grass-type Pokémon.
Then for Iron Hands, the Grass Tera Type is good for Iron Hands in Double Battles, that way it won't be affected by powder moves like Spore or when an opponent is using Rage Powder, as it won't work on Grass-type Pokémon. Iron Hands can get Fake Out, good for Double Battles, and it has access to moves like Drain Punch, Thunder Punch, Ice Punch, Earthquake, Rock Slide, Heavy Slam, and many other moves, and it gained the new Supercell Slam for a more powerful Electric-type move. Iron Hands is one of the top Pokémon in Tera Raid Battles, but you will want Fighting or Electric for its Tera Type, or you can go with Stellar, as its main moves are Drain Punch and Thunder Punch, it can use Belly Drum to maximize its Attack, or it can use Swords Dance, which doesn't cost HP but only boost its Attack by two stages, and it can use Electric Terrain to set up, and as you can enter a Tera Raid Battle for the opposite version, this gives Scarlet players a good chance to get Iron Hands, because it is normally exclusive to Violet, and this is one of the best Pokémon for Tera Raid Battles.
