The first few battles aren't too hard, but when the Trainers have better moves, they do add a bit more difficulty, with Focus Energy in the second round. Gambler in the third round tends to use a different strategy based on luck, this time it is 1-Hit KO moves and moves that affect Speed, like Body Slam for paralysis, and BubbleBeam for Speed drop. Rocket's team is where Victreebel comes in as he has a lot of Pokémon weak to Grass-type moves, Lab Man likes to use moves like Wrap and Fire Spin, and he does moves like Glare and Agility to ensure his Pokémon go first, Cool♀ has Magneton to balace out her team of Grass and Water-type Pokémon. Birdboy has Zapdos, and he does have a Bug-type and a Ghost-type on his team, and Cool♂ is the final opponent, and he is challenging, as he has Pokémon of many different types, including some threats like Jynx, Raichu, and Persian, this shows how hard these battles are if you are using Rental Pokémon.
