It is time to move onto Pokémon Stadium 2, and compared to the first game, there are 100 more Pokémon in the game, bringing the total to 251. From experience, the battles do go on for longer than in Pokémon Stadium, because on some stadiums, you have to go through the intro where it shows one Pokémon sent out and then onto the other where the opponents throws their Poké Ball to send out their Pokémon, and the Rental Pokémon in Free Battle are at Level 100 and have reworked moves.
As this is the second Free Battle video for Pokémon Stadium 2, I will go over the teams for both myself and the CPU which were decided by the random number generator.
P1 Team: Ninetales, Graveler, Clefairy, Tentacool, Weezing, Yanma
CPU Team: Golem, Pupitar, Sneasel, Hoothoot, Butterfree, Persian

Then, I will list the moves for each Pokémon in battle, starting with my team.
Ninetales: Fire Blast, Quick Attack, Roar, Safeguard
Graveler: Earthquake, Rollout, Selfdestruct, Sandstorm
Clefairy: Metronome, Strength, Psychic, Moonlight
Tentacool: Surf, Sludge Bomb, Blizzard, Screech
Weezing: Sludge, Zap Cannon, Selfdestruct, Haze
Yanma: Giga Drain, Headbutt, Swagger, Double Team

The CPU's team of Pokémon and moves.
Golem: Magnitude, Rock Throw, Rock Smash, Harden
Pupitar: Rock Slide, Dig, Hyper Beam, Screech
Sneasel: Ice Punch, Beat Up, Slash, Screech
Hoothoot: Fly, Swift, Dream Eater, Hypnosis
Butterfree: Gust, Psychic, Hyper Beam, Stun Spore
Persian: Headbutt, Bite, Roar, Growl

There is something I have noticed with the CPU in Pokémon Stadium 2, and that is they tend to send in the Pokémon that has the advantage against the Pokémon that is currently in battle, unlike Pokémon Stadium where the CPU would use an attack that was not effective against the Pokémon that is in battle, or send out a Flying-type Pokémon against a Pokémon that knows an Electric-type move.
Butterfree was the Pokémon that led the fight, while I had Clefairy, and as this is Generation 2, there are some moves that cannot be called through Metronome, those moves are Counter, Detect, Destiny Bond, Endure, Mimic, Mirror Coat, Protect, Sketch, Sleep Talk, Thief, and Struggle. In later generations, Metronome cannot call certain signature moves.
To go over some of the Pokémon's attacks, Selfdestruct and Explosion had their base power increased, Selfdestruct is 200 power, and Explosion is 250 power, and they halved Defense back then. Golem has Magnitude, this move has random power, the lowest is 4 which has 10 base power, and Magnitude 10 has 150 power, and Swift can no longer hit a Pokémon that has used Dig or Fly, instead, moves like Earthquake and Magnitude can hit a Pokémon that has used Dig, while moves like Thunder, Gust, and Twister can hit a Pokémon that is using Fly, and their damage is doubled when it does so.
Sneasel is the only Pokémon to know Beat Up, this was its signature move back then, each hit has a base power of 10 and it uses the Attack stat of each Pokémon in the team that has not fainted, and it deals typeless damage. In this generation, critical hits inflicted double damage when they connected, but it worked differently than in later games, they are no longer based on Speed like in Generation 1, it is a 6% chance to score one, and there are some moves like Slash which have a higher chance of a critical hit, and with Persian no longer with Slash, it now has the flinch chance with Headbutt to work with its high Speed stat.
