Here we are, this is Prime Cup in Master Ball, and the Trainers are very difficult, and this is even more challenging with Rental Pokémon. I don't remember if I went over this, but you can select Mew as a Rental Pokémon in Round 2 of Prime Cup, its moves are Psychic, Metronome, Mega Punch, and Flash, I can see how hard it will be to register Mew into the Hall of Fame in the Nintendo Switch Online version of this game.
The Trainers are a lot harder, and to list strategies, Judoboy has Focus Energy, and he has the Eevee evolutions on his team, Gambler uses 1-Hit KO moves, Cool♀ is the one that can give even Mewtwo a hard time, her Electrode has Thunder Wave, and it has higher Speed than Mewtwo, it is best to have a Pokémon like Rhydon as a backup to fight Electrode. In the final battle, Cool♂ uses the top competitive Pokémon, like Tauros, Starmie, Exeggutor, and Jolteon, and his Mew has Softboiled to heal some health, making it an even harder opponent because Psychic-type Pokémon had no weakness, aside from Bug, but it was a very weak attacking type.
