Pokémon HOME connectivity with Pokémon GO is now live, and when you first transfer Pokémon from Pokémon GO over to Pokémon HOME, you can get a special distribution on Pokémon HOME through the Mobile App, you can get a Level 100 Melmetal that is capable of Gigantamaxing, which you can send over to Sword & Shield.
This Melmetal has a Brave Nature and has 31 IVs in every stat except for Speed, which has 0 IVs, giving Melmetal the IV spread to work well in Trick Room, as it has a very low Speed stat, while it has high HP, Attack, and Defense. Melmetal has Double Iron Bash, Hyper Beam, Dynamic Punch, and Thunder Punch, Double Iron Bash is Melmetal's signature move, it is a 60 Power Physical Steel-type move that hits two times and each hit has a chance of flinching the target, and Double Iron Bash is boosted by Melmetal's Iron Fist Ability, so that can really hurt against anything that does not resist Steel.
Melmetal can learn a variety of TMs and TRs, it can get Ice Punch, Brick Break, Rock Slide, Thunder Wave, Earthquake, Superpower, Darkest Lariat, High Horsepower, and Body Press. When Gigantamaxed, its Steel-type moves become G-Max Meltdown, which prevents the opponent from using the same move twice in a row, much like using the move Torment against them.
While the Brave Nature is good on Melmetal, you can change it to either Adamant or Careful with Mints, because with an Adamant Nature, Melmetal is a good user of Choice Band, and with a Careful Nature it can make use of the Assault Vest.
I decided in this video to do some Max Raid Battles in the Crown Tundra, and the Bug and Poison-type Max Raid Battle Event is still happening around then. I don't like the Crown Tundra for Max Raid Battles because of how large the area is, and it can be very hard to find Max Raid Battles from far away, so you have to keep flying from one area to another, because with the Isle of Armor, I find that easier. Even though you can get Dynite Ore from Max Raid Battles in the Crown Tundra, you get even more from doing Dynamax Adventure.
For later Max Raid Battle events, I might end up using some Legendary Pokémon, because for online battles, I want to avoid using Legendary Pokémon that are banned in competitive battling, for example, I might use Calyrex in its Shadow Rider form, and it does have a special effect when Dynamaxed, where it has a blue aura instead of a red aura, and Calyrex is the only Pokémon capable of doing this. The good thing about using Legendary Pokémon in Max Raid Battles is so you have a powerful option for taking on the 5 Star Max Raid Battles, and as the Crown Tundra has brought back a lot of Legendary Pokémon, there are more players using them in Max Raid Battles.
