This week, I will be trading Charmander through Surprise Trade, and this is one of the most popular Pokémon on Surprise Trade, because whenever I do Surprise Trade, Charmander tends to be one of the most common Pokémon I have ever received through it. I breed for 31 IVs in at least 4 or 5 stats, and I went with Timid for the Nature, as the Charmander line have good Speed and Special Attack for stats, some of them have the Hidden Ability of Solar Power, which is a good Ability to have in online battles.
For Egg Moves, I went with Ancient Power, Bite, Dragon Rush, and Belly Drum, it can also get Metal Claw, Wing Attack, Counter, and Dragon Tail as other others, Wing Attack does not make sense for Charmander to learn, it makes sense when it is fully evolved, but I have seen questionable moves for some Pokémon, I will list which parents in the Monster and Dragon Egg Groups that can learn those moves.
Ancient Power: Tyrunt, Tyrantrum, Amaura, Aurorus
Belly Drum: Lickitung, Snorlax, Lickilicky, Kommo-o
Bite: Squirtle, Wartortle, Blastoise, Gyarados, Snorlax, Larvitar, Pupitar, Tyranitar, Loudred, Exploud, Trapinch, Vibrava, Flygon, Bagon, Shelgon, Salamence, Gible, Gabite, Garchomp, Axew, Fraxure, Haxorus, Druddigon, Deino, Zweilous, Hydreigon, Tyrunt, Tyrantrum, Bergmite, Avalugg, Noibat, Noivern, Chewtle, Drednaw, Dreepy, Drakloak, Dragapult
Counter: Chewtle, Drednaw
Dragon Rush: Dratini, Dragonair, Dragonite, Vibrava, Flygon, Gible, Gabite, Garchomp, Deino, Zweilous, Hydreigon, Flapple, Drakloak, Dragapult
Dragon Tail: Dratini, Dragonair, Dragonite, Vibrava, Flygon, Milotic, Salamence, Druddigon, Tyrunt, Tyrantrum, Jangmo-o, Hakamo-o, Kommo-o
Metal Claw: Aron, Lairon, Aggron, Druddigon, Duraludon
Wing Attack: Dragonite, Noibat, Noivern, Flapple

If you are wondering about Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Charmander learns Flare Blitz, Outrage, Dragon Dance, Beat Up, Crunch, and Air Cutter, it already learns Flare Blitz through level up, Air Cutter can only be known by Charmander in the Grand Underground, because the only Pokémon in its Egg Group that can learn it is the Noibat line, which cannot be in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, I would recommend Outrage, Dragon Dance, Ancient Power, and Crunch for Egg Moves in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl.
Going over level up moves, it can get Scratch, Growl, Ember, Smokescreen, Dragon Breath, Fire Fang, Slash, Flamethrower, Scary Face, Fire Spin, Inferno, and Flare Blitz. It evolves into Charmeleon, and eventually into the fan-favourite Charizard, where it learns Air Slash upon evolution, and it can learn Dragon Claw and Heat Wave.
Next are TMs and TRs, I will be going over what Charizard can learn, it can get Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Fly, Mega Punch, Mega Kick, Solar Beam, Dig, Rock Slide, Steel Wing, Sunny Day, Beat Up, Will-O-Wisp, Brick Break, Weather Ball, Rock Tomb, Shadow Claw, Acrobatics, Bulldoze, Mystical Fire, Brutal Swing, and Breaking Swipe, and for TRs, it can get Fire Blast, Earthquake, Swords Dance, Outrage, Iron Tail, Crunch, Overheat, Blaze Kick, Dragon Pulse, Dragon Dance, Focus Blast, Work Up, Heat Crash, and Hurricane, and as it is a Fire-type Starter Pokémon, it can learn Fire Pledge and Blast Burn, and for Tutor moves, it can learn Scorching Sands, Dual Wingbeat, and Scale Shot. In Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, it can learn Focus Punch, Aerial Ace, and Roost for possible moves.
Charizard has had an infamous competitive scene, while most fans would say it's the best Pokémon in the world, Charizard has never been a top-tier competitive Pokémon, it wasn't until Generation 6 where Charizard got two Mega Evolved forms, the Physical Attacking Mega Charizard X, which is a Fire/Dragon-type, and the destructive Mega Charizard Y, which had Drought and had massive Special Attack. Charizard was screwed out because of Stealth Rock, but now with the Heavy-Duty Boots, which is a good item to have on it, it can switch out without having to lose half of its HP.
Its best moves are Fire Blast, Air Slash, or Hurricane if you prefer extra power, Scorching Sands, and Dragon Pulse, and it can Gigantamax, where it can use G-Max Wildfire, although Dynamax tends to be preferred so Charizard can use Max Flare and set up its own sun, specially on sets with Solar Power, and having Solar Beam is a nice alternative on Dynamax sets to give it coverage against its weaknesses.
In Double Battles, Charizard has seen use with Heat Wave for hitting both targets, some sets use Blast Burn for the most powerful G-Max Wildfire, and it usually has sun support from teammates like Torkoal. Charizard has seen high level usage in Double Battles, specially in VGC Tournaments, mainly due to Gigantamax, and Max Airstream is really overpowered, and on a Pokémon like Charizard, it can sweep teams with the right setup.
