There is a Mystery Gift that was announced for today, but at the time of recording, it wasn't live, it is for a Gastrodon that was used by the winner of the 2019 Pokémon Japan Championships, I will show off the code in a later video.
Our next Surprise Trade for this week is a fan-favourite of the competitive scene since its introduction in Gen 5, it is Ferroseed, well technically its evolved form Ferrothorn is more the fan-favourite, although Ferroseed has seen viability in the lower tiers. With a type combination of Grass/Steel and great defensive stats, it has proved itself in the competitive scene over the times.
As usual, I breed for 31 IVs in at least 4 or 5 stats, and for Ferroseed, some have 0 IVs in Speed, possibly to make it work in Trick Room. These Ferroseed have a Relaxed Nature, for other Natures, Brave, Impish, and Sassy are viable Natures for it.
For Egg Moves, Ferroseed can get Leech Seed, Knock Off, Gravity, and Toxic, these were the moves I went with, it can also get Acid Spray, but this isn't a move you should go with on Ferroseed. I will list which parents from the Grass and Mineral Egg Groups that can learn those moves.
Acid Spray: Trubbish, Garbodor, Flapple
Gravity: Stonjourner
Knock Off: Tangela, Lombre, Ludicolo, Tangrowth, Grookey, Thwackey, Rillaboom
Leech Seed: Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur, Exeggcute, Exeggutor, A-Exeggutor, Roselia, Roserade, Cherubi, Cherrim, Cottonee, Whimsicott, Maractus, Phantump, Trevenant, Comfey, Flapple, Appletun
Toxic: Oddish, Gloom, Vileplume, Bellossom, Roselia, Roserade, Trubbish, Garbodor, Foongus, Amoonguss

For Egg Moves, Ferroseed has a good amount, Leech Seed and Toxic is a nice combo to have, and it is a defensive Pokémon with usable Attack. One thing to note is that Ferroseed's evolved form Ferrothorn does have a Hidden Ability, and it is a bad one, it gets Anticipation, why take that over Iron Barbs?
Then for its level up moves, Ferroseed can get Metal Claw, Pin Missile, Ingrain, Iron Head, Iron Defense, Curse, Gyro Ball, Self-Destruct, and Explosion. When it evolves into Ferrothorn, it will learn Power Whip.
Next is Ferrothorn's TM and TR moves, for TMs it can get Rest, Thunder Wave, Sandstorm, Revenge, Bullet Seed, Payback, Shadow Claw, Bulldoze, and Brutal Swing, and for TRs, it can learn Swords Dance, Spikes, Stealth Rock, Poison Jab, Seed Bomb, Heavy Slam, Body Press, and a few others, and for Tutor moves, it can get Steel Roller.
Now for the moment you have been waiting for, and it is Ferrothorn in the competitive scene, this Pokémon has had a large competitive history since Gen 5, its type combination and its unique Ability of Iron Barbs has made it one of the best Pokémon in competitive battling. In this game, Ferrothorn still remains a top-tier defensive Pokémon, and starting with Single Battles, while it has a low Speed stat, this does make Ferrothorn a dangerous threat in Trick Room, and its Gyro Ball can hurt, specially if it has Curse to pair well with it. Leech Seed and Stealth Rock are other popular moves on it, and for damage dealing moves, Power Whip isn't a bad move to have, and Bullet Seed is an alternative for a move that hits more than once. Iron Defense and Body Press is another good combo for Ferrothorn to make the best use of, it's no wonder it was this good back in Gen 5, and it does benefit from the new Body Press in this game. For held items, Leftovers is the most popular one, and Rocky Helmet works well with Iron Barbs, so opponents that rely on contact moves take a lot of damage just by attacking Ferrothorn.
While Ferrothorn was all about being defensive in Single Battles, in Double Battles, Ferrothorn is more about all-out attacking, Power Whip and Gyro Ball are its main moves, and it works very well in Trick Room with its low Speed stat, and it is one of few Pokémon to make use of the new Steel Roller, but it will only work if terrain is set up, so this can be very powerful against opponents that rely on terrain to their advantage. Ferrothorn is a solid user of the Assault Vest with only damage dealing moves, so it can get off some hits with Power Whip, Gyro Ball, and Body Press.
The reason why I never brought up moves like Spikes, Stealth Rock, and Thunder Wave is because these moves aren't too commonly used on Ferrothorn in online battles in this game, so they are more useful in 6v6 battles.
Despite its Fire weakness, Ferrothorn has remained a top-tier Pokémon throughout its time in the competitive scene, it shows that even with a 4x weakness to Fire and a low Speed stat, a Pokémon can still end up being very good, as it has very good defensive stats and a solid Attack stat, and a good Ability that it is one of very few Pokémon to have, while Ferroseed with the Eviolite has been a viable option in the lower tiers in its competitive history.
