This is a one day only event, and it is on April 1st, and for that day, we get Sudowoodo in the Max Raid Battles. I remember last year we had Magikarp in the Max Raid Battles and you couldn't even catch them, but for this event, you can catch the Sudowoodo in the Max Raid Battles.
I always tend to forget that on April 1st, there will always be a sandstorm in the Wild Area, and it makes it harder to go through the Wild Area and find any Max Raid Battles because the sandstorm reduces the visibility of the red beams, which means you have to get closer to view them.
As with this event, there is a very rare chance of finding a Shiny Sudowoodo in the Max Raid Battles, and you can find Bonsly in 3 Star Max Raid Battles or lower, Sudowoodo appear in 4 and 5 Star Max Raid Battles.
I am surprised they picked Sudowoodo for this event, when almost every other Pokémon game, usually mobile games, they pick Ditto for those events, Pokémon GO, Pokémon Café ReMix, and Pokémon Masters EX have events themed around Ditto for this day, but for this game, they went with Sudowoodo for the featured Pokémon.
I might as well go over Sudowoodo, its Hidden Ability is Rattled, not the best as Sudowoodo is very slow to begin with, and it does learn a wide variety of moves, it can learn Head Smash and it can pair that up with Rock Head so it will not take recoil damage after use, and it does get some other good moves like Wood Hammer, Sucker Punch, Hammer Arm, Stone Edge, and many other moves. It does get some good TM and TR moves like Earthquake, Brick Break, Stomping Tantrum, Rock Blast, Foul Play, Body Press, and many other moves. While it does have a good Defense stat and a decently good Attack stat, Sudowoodo is outclassed by many better Rock-type Pokémon, it is not an easy Pokémon to use when it has very low Speed and it is weak to so many types like Water, Fighting, Ground, and many others. If you get lucky and find a Shiny Sudowoodo, it is there for Shiny Pokémon collectors, and as for the Hidden Ability of Rattled, it is there for Hidden Ability collectors, so this Wild Area Event is for Shiny Pokémon collectors, as Sudowoodo is not worth using in online battles, unless you really want to try using one.
