The next Pokémon to be added into Pokémon UNITE is Chandelure, an Attacker that is all about long ranged attacks, but does not have good Mobility and Endurance, making it more of a glass-cannon type of Pokémon. At the time of recording this video, the Legacy Trainer Showdown is happening, and this is where you take on opponents based on characters from the main series Pokémon games.
Chandelure is an Attacker, and its Ability is Infiltrator, when it deals damage to opposing Pokémon, its next attack ignores the opposing Pokémon's Special Defense, and it can stack up to 8 times. It starts out fights as Litwick, and it has a very rough start, as Ember and Night Shade are its starting moves. Its basic attack becomes a boosted attack after a set amount of time passes, and it deals damage to opposing Pokémon and decreasing their movement speed and leaving them burned.
For starting moves, Litwick has Ember and Night Shade, Ember is a ranged attack that decreases the movement speed of opposing Pokémon and leaving them burned, and Litwick can use the move again for a short time. Night Shade deals damage and leaves a mark on the opposing Pokémon, and when attacked again, this leaves the opposing Pokémon unable to act for a short time.
At Level 5, Litwick will evolve into Lampent, and it learns Flamethrower or Overheat, those replace Ember. Flamethrower deals damage and leaves the opposing Pokémon burned, and at the end of the blast, it deals more damage, and if the explosion hits an opposing Pokémon, the cooldown is reduced. Overheat has Lampent shoot fire in an arc up to 3 times, and this can burn the opposing Pokémon, and it can gain heat energy for each hit, and the next attack is an exploding flame which deals damage based on the amount of heat energy, and after the follow-up attack, Lampent cannot use basic attacks for a short time.
At Level 7, Lampent will evolve into Chandelure, and it learns Poltergeist or Imprison, those replace Night Shade. Poltergeist creates a zone with floating furniture, and any opposing Pokémon that enters the zone or comes into contact with a mirage will have their movement speed decreased, and Imprison has Chandelure create a zone in front of itself and the first Pokémon caught in it will be unable to move, and all opposing Pokémon that enter the zone cannot use attacks.
Chandelure's Unite move is Ignite Midnight, and it learns that at Level 9. When used, opposing Pokémon will have their vision obscured for a short time, and when used again, Chandelure fires a beam that deals damage to opposing Pokémon and can be directed, the final blast deals increased damage.
At Level 11, Flamethrower or Overheat are upgraded, Flamethrower deals increased damage for a short time when the explosion hits an opposing Pokémon at the end of the blast, and Overheat has reduced move cooldown. At Level 13, Poltergeist or Imprison are upgraded, Poltergeist has strengthened movement speed decrease on opposing Pokémon, and when using Imprison, all opposing Pokémon caught in the zone will be left unable to act.
While Chandelure has great Offense, it has very low Endurance and Mobility, it doesn't do well in crowd control, and the only way to escape is from items like the Eject Button or X Speed. Best battle items for Chandelure are those that work with its Special Attack stat, like the Slick Spoon, Wise Glasses, and Choice Specs, and while using Imprison can help in preventing opponent from moving, and then Flamethrower or Overheat to deal some huge damage, and this Pokémon is all about long range.
At the time of this video going up, the next Pokémon to be added has not yet been revealed, and I am hoping it is that one Pokémon, not going to reveal which Pokémon it is, but it is one of the first leaked Pokémon that I did see shortly after Comfey being added into the game, and even one of people from the Pokémon UNITE official competitions even put that leaked Pokémon in the thumbnail of their video, and if a normal person did that, they would get fired for that, and this is one of the announcers from the official Pokémon UNITE tournaments that did that, if I worked for an official tournament, I would never put a Pokémon or anything that has not been revealed yet in the thumbnail of a video.
