Here are the team of Pokémon in this video, which was decided by the random number generator.
P1 Team: Gastly, Metapod, Cloyster, Weedle, Kakuna, Diglett
CPU Team: Machop, Flareon, Paras, Rhydon, Snorlax, Seaking

Then, I will list the moves for each Pokémon in battle, starting with my team.
Gastly: Psychic, Dream Eater, Hypnosis, Confuse Ray
Metapod: String Shot, Tackle
Cloyster: Clamp, Supersonic, Spike Cannon, Ice Beam
Weedle: String Shot, Poison Sting
Kakuna: String Shot, Poison Sting
Diglett: Earthquake, Rock Slide, Slash, Sand-Attack

The CPU's team of Pokémon and moves.
Machop: Submission, Focus Energy, Rock Slide, Earthquake
Flareon: Fire Blast, Sand-Attack, Take Down, Smog
Paras: Spore, Slash, Dig, Mega Drain
Rhydon: Dig, Surf, Strength, Thunder
Snorlax: Mega Kick, Rest, Rock Slide, Metronome
Seaking: Waterfall, Ice Beam, Supersonic, Horn Attack

With the team selected, I got three Bug-type Pokémon, and all of them are the weak early-game Pokémon, but at least all three of them have String Shot. While my team doesn't have the best match-up against the CPU, I usually try and see if I can win, because sometimes it depends on how lucky I can get with moves like Hypnosis and the chance the CPU Pokémon attacks itself with confusion, and that was where Gastly comes in, I did have Cloyster which has Clamp to prevent the opponent from attacking for 2 to 5 turns, and Clamp was its signature move back then. While Cloyster does have good match-ups against half of the CPU team, with a type advantage against Rhydon and being faster then Snorlax, it can use Clamp to weaken them enough so that Ice Beam can finish them off. I don't know if Diglett counts as a weak Pokémon, while it has very low HP, it does have good Speed and it has Earthquake, but it isn't the most powerful Pokémon there is, and its best match-up is against Flareon.
As with the CPU team, Seaking is the only Rental Pokémon to have Waterfall, and this was its signature move back then, because Waterfall was not an HM in that generation, and with some of the more powerful Pokémon on the CPU's side, like Rhydon, Snorlax, and Flareon, and sure there was Machop, but if I switched Gastly in only for Machop to use Earthquake, that would turn the battle around. I did like how Rhydon has a bunch of moves of many different types, but it cannot make use of them as it has a very low Special stat, the damage from Thunder or Surf isn't that worth it when Strength and Dig can deal some good damage to opponents, and Snorlax with Rest can make it a tough opponent to bring down, and there is Metronome, which can either turn a battle around depending on which move is pulled from it.
