I get put up against a sun team, and the three Pokémon selected are those that work the best in the sun, Torkoal to set it up with Drought, Scovillain to deal some huge damage with Overheat and can have Chlorophyll, and Walking Wake which has Protosynthesis and can use Hydro Stream, which becomes more powerful when the sun is active. These are the types of teams Scovillain is best used on, because its Speed stat is kind of average, but when the sun is up, that is when it can be put to good use, and it has access to moves like Solar Beam and Overheat which are very powerful moves, Fire Tera Type on Scovillain gives it the most powerful Overheat in the sun.
I test out two more Pokémon from this team, and I include Toxapex for this battle to try and withstand the powerful hits from Scovillain and Walking Wake, as these are the two most dangerous Pokémon when the sun is active. I led the fight with Toedscruel, she has a Covert Cloak, when using so many defensive Pokémon, it is a hard choice on who gets the Leftovers, and I don't like using more than two of the same held item on each Pokémon, and it wasn't easy finding a good item that would work, and that was when I decided on the Covert Cloak. Toedscruel has Spore for putting foes to sleep, although Mycelium Might makes Toedscruel always move last when using a status move, she has Earth Power and Giga Drain for her main moves, and I gave her Acid Spray to reduce the opponent's Special Defense. When looking into sets, I decided to go with a defensive investment, mainly Special Defense, if not for Mycelium Might making it always move last when using a status move, Toedscruel would be the best Spore user in the game, this Pokémon has base 100 Speed, and Spore has 100% accuracy, if that were the case, then I am sure there would be a lot of players using Toedscruel in battle for that reason.
I chose Umbreon for this battle to give him one that he can do well in, and he has Foul Play for his main attack, while Thunder Wave and Taunt are there for status moves, Thunder Wave to paralyze opponents, and Taunt to prevent opponents from using status moves, and for a healing move, I went with Moonlight, and it can heal even more when the sun is active. Umbreon has a Rocky Helmet for the held item, as that is a good item for a slow and defensive Pokémon, and Umbreon does make a good choice for the held item.
