Alear and the others arrive at Solm Palace, where they find Hortensia threatening to kill Seforia, and refuses to listen to Ivy after she tries to tell her the fate of their father. Then Zephia shows up with the rest of the Four Hounds, or well, only two of them show up, and she mind controls Hortensia into fighting Alear and the others, and she has the Ring of the Instructor with her.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

Here is Chapter 14, and Hortensia has entered Solm Palace, and before anything could happen, Zephia mind controls Hortensia, and this leaves us to deal with her and the Four Hounds, well three of them that is.
Solm Palace is a large map, and there are four chests, two of them are on each side, and a Thief will show up on the southeast corner in turn 2, and on turn 3, another Thief shows up on the southwest corner, and a bunch of reinforcements will show up on turns 7, 12, and 13.
For items, the western chests have a Silver-Spirit Art and a Wyrmslayer, this is a sword that deals bonus damage against Wyvern Riders, this can really be good against Zephia. The eastern chests have Boots, which permanently increases a unit's movement by 1, and a Radiant Bow, which deals magic damage and is a really good weapon to equip on Fogado, and you can get a Silver Sword from a Hero and a Steel Blade from a Swordmaster.
Time to go over the bosses, Hortensia has the Ring of the Instructor, but you will also have to fight Zephia, Marni, and Mauvier as well, I recommend taking them on one at a time. Starting with Zephia, she is a Melusine, a flying class that uses swords and tomes, and she has Thoron. Zephia does have a Revival Stone, neither Marni or Mauvier have them, but they do on Maddening difficulty. Bows and the Wyrmslayer are good weapons against her.
Marni has a Hurricane Axe, this is a smash weapon that deals magic damage, it also deals bonus damage against flying units, but as it is a smash weapon, she will always move last and cannot make follow up attacks, making Marni the easiest out of the bosses. As she is a General, magic attacks and the Armorslayer can make quick work against her.
Mauvier has a Flame Lance, this deals magic damage and has a range of 2, and he does have a Steel Lance as well, as his Royal Knight class gives him very balanced stats, he can be a tricky foe to bring down. The best way to fight Mauvier would be to have some Backup units get in chain attacks on him, or whichever unit you have Ike on, use Great Aether to get in some damage on everyone in range.
Hortensia has Fracture, this inflicts break onto the target, and she has Lúin, this deals bonus damage to Dragon units, putting Alear at a disadvantage, and she does have dialogue when you have Ivy fight her. She can use Diabolical Dance, which refreshes all units within two spaces of the user, and Divine Pulse+ ensures her attack will hit if it missed based on her Luck stat. Hortensia has two Revival Stones, and when she uses her first one, she will be unable to control the power of the Dark Emblem, and this allows her to use another Emblem weapon, this time, the Sword of the Creator, which deals bonus damage to Dragon units and adds the user's Magic stat to the damage dealt, and it has a range of 2. The best way to fight Hortensia is to get in some chain attacks, and if you have saved your Emblem attacks, this is the best time to use them, the same strategy you used against Zephia can work best against her.
With the battle done, Hortensia will be free from Zephia's mind control, and we receive the Ring of the Instructor, allow us to awaken Byleth from the Emblem Ring, the main character of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and if you are wondering, it is only male Byleth that is used for the Emblem. After some dialogue with Seforia, and learning the location of Solm's second Emblem Ring, Hortensia decides to become our newest ally.
Hortensia is recruited as a Level 19 Wing Tamer, and she can be promoted right away. She has Big Personality, increasing the range of staves with a healing effect, making Hortensia good for support. She has very good Resistance, Speed, and Luck, making her good for taking magic attacks, the downside is Hortensia has really low HP and Defense, making her not good for taking any attack that isn't a magic attack. She has less Magic than Ivy, but she does have better Resistance, Luck, and Dexterity. As with Emblem Byleth, I will go more into detail about him in the next part, because there is a lot to go over, Byleth's Emblem skills are different depending on the unit type he is equipped to.
