After rescuing Queen Seforia at Solm Palace, Hortensia decides to come along with Alear and the others, and we receive Byleth's Emblem Ring. We then learn the location of the Ring of the Crux of Fate, which is at the Northern Fortress in Solm, and that is where we will be going to the next chapter.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

Right as we leave Solm Palace, we get another scene where Veyle arrives at the desert of Solm, and upon finding out Alear had found another Emblem Ring, and then it is revealed that she has a second personality, I do like the detail with her eyes, where she has purple eyes from the first encounter with her, and her evil personality has red eyes.
We received a new ally and a new Emblem Ring, and there is a lot to go over with this new Emblem, but starting things off is Hortensia, she is a Level 19 Wing Rider, and her Advance Class is Sleipnir Rider. This class has very high Resistance and a good Skill stat, and the class skill is World Tree, based on the unit's Dexterity stat, when the unit uses a staff, there is a chance that the staff's durability will not be consumed, and with Hortensia's good Dexterity stat, this pairs well with staves like Physic, Warp, Fracture, and Obstruct, making her one of the best staff users in the game, and she's a flying unit as well. Between her and Ivy, I usually see Hortensia as a support unit that can help her allies out, while Ivy tends to be a more offensive unit that can deal some damage with her magic attacks.
The moment you have been waiting for, time to go over Emblem Byleth, and this is one of the most versatile Emblems in the game, and I do like how Byleth is referred to by name in this game, because in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, none of the characters call Byleth by his name, they call him "Professor", in Byleth's Bond Conversations, some of the units do call him "Professor". This does rule out his appearance in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, where Byleth never became a professor, he was referred to as "The Ashen Demon", which is his title, but his Emblem Ring is called The Ring of the Instructor, not Ring of the Ashen Demon, while other Emblems have their rings named after their titles.
For stats, Byleth gives Magic, Speed, and Luck when equipped, Divine Pulse can turn a missed attack into a hit based on the unit's Luck stat, Mentorship at Bond Level 3 gives a 1.2x Exp modifier to unit and adjacent allies, Art Focus boosts hit rate when equipped with arts at the cost of dodge, and Arts Prof. at Bond Level 6 allows your units to promote to classes like Martial Master or High Priest. The Luck skills from Byleth pair well with units like Anna that have Personal Skills that use the Luck stat to activate.
Then for each of Byleth's skills, Instruct boosts the stats of allies within 2 spaces based on the unit's type for 1 turn, Dragon units boost all seven of the basic stats by 3, Backup units boost Strength by 4, Cavalry units boost Dexterity by 10, Covert units boost Speed by 5, Armored units boost Defense by 5, Flying units boost Resistance by 5, Mystical units boost Magic by 4, and Qi Adept units boost Luck by 10, and Goddess Dance does boost the same stats, the difference is that it grants allies adjacent to the unit an extra turn.
Then for each of the Engage Weapons from Emblem Byleth. Blutgang for Backup units is a magic sword that has a bonus effect against Dragon and Cavalry units, Areadbhar for Cavalry units provides Might +50 when user initiates combat, Failnaught for Covert units grants Avoid +20 and has a bonus effect against Dragon and Flying units, Aegis Shield for Armored units boosts Defense by 6 and Resistance by 3 and has a chance to halve damage taken based on Dexterity, Lúin for Flying units raises damage based on the unit's Speed and has a bonus effect against Dragon units, and it deals 1 more damage for every 3 Speed. Mystical units get Thyrsus, a staff that gives +2 magic range and can halve damage based on Dexterity, Rafail Gem for Qi Adept units gives the user immunity to effective and critical hits, and can also halve damage based on Dexterity, and Aymr for Dragon units has a smash effect where they cannot make a follow up attack or attack first, and it has a bonus effect against Dragon units. At Bond Level 10 is Vajira-Mushti, which are gauntlets that attack twice when unit initiates combat, and it uses the lowest of foe's Defense or Resistance, Byleth has great versatility, and a very good support emblem.
I hope I have enough description space after going over Byleth, and that is which units Hortensia can support with other then Alear, and here is a list of them.
Clanne, Céline, Chloé, Alcryst, Ivy, Fogado, Anna
