Before checking out Kitakami Hill with Kieran, I check out Mossfell Confluence, the wild Pokémon there are higher levelled than the ones at Reveler's Road, and there is a shop that sells Syrupy Apples, those are the items that evolve Applin into a new Pokémon called Dipplin.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

While I do work on some evolutions in this video, the main area that I explore is Mossfell Confluence, and on the side from Reveler's Road, you can find some wild Pokémon, most of which are higher levelled, and you can find evolved Pokémon like Ariados, Leavanny, Ribombee, Weepinbell, and Arbok, while you can find Poliwhirl and Quagsire in the water. There is one Trainer that uses an Alolan Geodude, this is a Rock/Electric-type Pokémon, you cannot obtain it in the wild, but you can transfer it over from Pokémon Home, Alolan Geodude can get Galvanize for its Hidden Ability, this turns any Normal-type moves into Electric-type moves and increases their power by 20%, and with it learning moves like Double-Edge and Explosion, those can deal a lot of damage to opponents.
The Fighting-type Timburr can be found around Mossfell Confluence, and you can find its evolved form Gurdurr in the wild, and there is one as a static encounter. Timburr does come with Superpower and Stone Edge right away, but you can go for the more accurate Rock Slide, and most of its Fighting-type moves like Drain Punch and Close Combat are learned through TM. To evolve Gurdurr into Conkeldurr, it needs to be traded, and once fully evolved, it has a high Attack stat, and if you get one with Guts and equip a Flame Orb, Conkeldurr can deal some insane damage, this is a good Pokémon if you are able to trade to evolve it.
In the water, you can find Ducklett, a Water/Flying-type that is kind of below average, it does come with Brave Bird and Hurricane when caught, and it needs a TM to learn Surf. The wild Pokémon at Mossfell Confluence are at around Level 20 if you explore Kitakami before completing the main story, and Ducklett doesn't evolve until Level 35, but as the wild Pokémon are at around Level 66, they can be evolved in one level. Its evolved form Swanna has Speed for its best stat and it has decent Attack and Special Attack, and it does learn some nice utility moves like Feather Dance, Defog, and Tailwind, and it can set up the rain to give it 100% accuracy with Hurricane, but aside from that, Swanna is kind of average when compared to many other Water and Flying-type Pokémon.
There are three Tera Pokémon that can be found there, an Arbok with an Electric Tera Type that comes with Thunder Fang, a Poliwhirl with a Fighting Tera Type, it has Liquidation and Brick Break, which means it will be set once it evolves into Poliwrath, and there is a Poltchageist with a Water Tera Type that knows Scald.
There is a stall that sells Syrupy Apples, this is the item that evolves Applin into its new evolved form Dipplin. This is the right time to go over it, Dipplin learns Double Hit upon evolution, and its signature move is Syrup Bomb, this is a 60 power special Grass-type move with 85% accuracy and it reduces the target's Speed at the end of each turn for 3 turns. Its Ability is Supersweet Syrup, when Dipplin enters battle, it lowers the evasion of opposing Pokémon by one stage when it is first sent out into battle. Dipplin's best stat is Defense, and it has good Special Attack as well, which pairs well with moves like Dragon Pulse, Giga Drain, Recover, Infestation, and many others. Another interesting fact, Dipplin can make use of the Eviolite, even though it is a fully evolved Pokémon, I have seen speculation that Dipplin might get another evolution in The Indigo Disk, but at least this will help it takes hits better.
After exploring Mossfell Confluence, I then enter Kitakami Hall, which has some stalls as they are setting up for the Kitakami Mask Festival, and the objective is to view the signboard with Kieran, and it explains about the four masks. Kieran then suggests to visit the Dreaded Den in Oni Mountain, which is said to be a forbidden location, but we'll see about that next time.
