Right then, like Bloodhound and Postal 4, I considered not making a episode on this game since it is very controversial and I expect it to be given a age rating or warning about it at some point from the community standards.

Postal series has never really shied away from controversy with its second game being banned in a lot of Europe, while being more based on shock value and violence then disturbing imagery, but the first game, back in 1997 really caused some controversy. This Redux release goes back to 2016 and was given a ps4 release in 2021. Unless you have read the manual or read about it, there's not really much of a story except from the loading screens, but the general idea is "Postal Dude", this game's version of the Dude was evicted and is going mad, thinking the US Air Force have released a mind control virus.

Played from a Isomeric 3rd version view, Postal Redux is a twin stick shooter where Left stick moves and right stick aims, Dude begins with a machine gun that has infinite ammo and will gain more weapons as you go. The overall gameplay? There are hostiles, which are cops/swat/military/vigilantes and they need to be taken out, there are also civilians who can be shot as well, when a targets wounded you can put them out of their misery.

The PS5 enhancements such as the controller shaking from the loading screens to the adaptive trigger when your firing feel like solid additions, and the redux additions such as the Special Delivery levels and the Japanese "Super POSTAL" levels are here as well. Nothing really gets that hard unless you go to higher skill levels, A bit morbid game, but generally a pickup and play one that you can understand quickly.
