It's green and pissed... again. Turok has always been to me a hidden diamond in the rough for being a Console shooter that defines what was a shooter much like Goldeneye 007 and Doom 64 at the time on the n64, and obviously, a sequel to it wouldn't be not expected? Turok 2 Seeds of Evil was originally a December 1998 release on the N64, a 1999 PC release with a remaster in 2017, and PS4 getting a remaster port on February 25th 2021.

Turok 2 features a new Turok named Joshua Fireseed, This story isn't related to Turok Dinosaur Hunter in the sense we are a new character who is learning of the Primagen, Dinozoids who have escaped into a place known as the Lost Lands (which only references Dinosaur Hunter from a cutscene but not in any other way), Our goal is protect 5 Energy totems and defend them along with other objectives in this hardcore and again platforming FPS game.

Turok 2's remaster like the first has a spotty and jerky/fast camera so I turn the sensivity down and also remove the Motion sensor option when the controller is moved, We have 3 weapons at first: The Iconic bow which is useful for picking targets off from a distance, The flare pistol to light up darkness and the Claw which is Joshua's melee weapon, We'll get other weapons such a shotgun, pistol and other curious weapons, We actually have 2 Weapon wheels which hold weapons.

Turok's open world platforming is also just like the first game with massive levels, so it will be important to keep a reminder of where you came from like a teleporter, Often you'll be struggling to figure out what part is next unless you see switches. And much like the first game, you have lives. Gore? You better believe it, and just as violent. Original release was criticized for a choppy FPS rate but its not here, so thats def a plus. Another solid Remaster by nightdive.
