Operation Blue Shelter

2 months have passed since the Prospero Disaster. The disaster created a Second Calamity Event. The theory over what caused the first Calamity has been proven. When the Federation launched their Cordium fused cruise missiles, the explosions from the Cordium caused the Ring of Fire to erupt. The disaster has not only affected Cascadia, but some of the Federation States too. However, Cascadia suffered the worst damage. When the disaster occurred, CIF battalions around Cascadia went into shelters to allow the disaster to pass, Federation units did the same. Now, it appears that the geothermal events and anomalous weather is starting to calm down. Since it is safer to be outside, the Cascadian Independence Force is about to launch the first strike on remaining Federation military forces in Cascadia. Cascadian partisans have discovered that Federation military forces have taken shelter at a place called Brite Fortress. The place was insignificant at first but is now being used as a shelter for Federation forces waiting for the geothermal events to stop. The CIF wants their mercenary allies to attack Brite Fortress and destroy the Federation forces there. If the attack succeeds then Federation forces remaining in Cascadia will be significantly weakened, allowing the CIF to make the first move before the Federation can regain the initiative.
