The Cascadian Independence Force is almost to Presidia. They are starting to push the remaining Federation forces in Cascadia back towards the capital city. However, the CIF wants to open another route into the city, by sea. The remaining Federation forces in Cascadia are being supplied by naval vessels from the sea, it is there only method of resupplying their troops. Currently, the last remaining Federation naval forces in Cascadia have blockaded access to Presidia. The CIF is assembling a large naval group to engage in one decisive naval battle that will destroy all remaining Federation warships in Cascadia. This operation also has another objective, the CIF intends to completely cripple Federation naval power by forcing the Federation to send their most powerful naval force, the 1st Naval Battlegroup, which is currently docked in Presidia. Once the CIF engages the naval blockade in the Pacific Ocean, they believe that Federation warships will force the 1st Battlegroup to respond and leave Presidia. If this operation succeeds, then the CIF will completely encircle Presidia by establishing their own naval blockade of the city and preventing any supplies from reaching the besieged troops in Presidia. The leader of Sicario, Kaiser, finally returns from the Periphery with an army of mercenaries and anti-Federation forces that will help Cascadia defeat the Federation.
