266Zenozoik is a strange place, but not only for the reasons it wants to be. The land with only one law has a whole lot of customs and conventions restricting the people to act in certain ways. The people have stores for trade and respect ownership outside of just fighting each other for stuff. Gemini has employees and offers something to the goons that chase Pseudo and the Boy around Zenozoik, something those people believe she will honour when they succeed. The anarchic setting is lost among this narrative, and our once stickler for law deems the whole thing stupid and worthless. Did Ace Team include a discernible reason for Zenozoik to be this way? Is this prequel to their Zeno Clash games laying any groundwork for the things that come later on? Or is it merely fan-service in order to tie this game into a recognisable IP?
