QEMU BloodRayne 1 & 2 (2002, 2005) (EAX)
Vampiric-lore fills the channel in DARK Nights. After The Legacy of Kain, here it comes, BloodRayne 1 & 2, both the First and Second instalment of PC games from 2002 and 2005 by Terminal Cut & Majesco. Unlike The Legacy of Kain, neither modern remake nor remaster of either games are available. So QEMU featuring qemu-3dfx flexes its versatility in preserving the games in retail originality. NO 3rd-party patches, fans' mods or unexplained cults in cumbersome hacks to play the games on modern Linux & Windows. It is simple, install and play right from the peace-of-mind isolation within QEMU VMs. Both games feature spectacular EAX 3.0 environment audio in which DSOAL/OpenAL-Soft had done a wonderful job of immersive audios for the BEST and HIGHEST quality in gameplay experience.
BloodRayne 1 also includes a OpenGL renderer that makes use of deprecated OpenGL Pbuffer for Rayne's aura-sense view. Water reflection, dynamic shadows and bump "boobs" mapping🤣 do not render properly in OpenGL. The Direct3D 8.1 renderer has ALL those eye-candies covered by WineD3D while also more compatible for modern GPUs. Though OpenGL may render at higher FPS, its quality pales in comparison to that of Direct3D 8.1. BloodRayne 2 drops the OpenGL renderer and goes with Direct3D 8.1 in more advanced pixel shading, together with camera that showcases Rayne gorgeous character model. Yeah, I know, everyone loves to watch!!!🤣
QEMU featuring qemu-3dfx is the WORLD's BEST and HIGHEST quality in Games Preservation. Nothing else even comes close. The *\*STUPID & RETARDED\** PC emulation FULL of *Accuracy \*BS\** will NEVER reach the breakthrough milestone to be able to even render in Direct3D8 pixel shaders. Even though a version of MESAFX was available for BloodRayne 1 for the OpenGL renderer that supposedly works for Voodoo3/Banshee, the *\*USELESS\** whatever Voodoos emulation "all-done-in-software" is A JOKE and LAUGHING STOCK in rendering any games.
Both games have good support for Gamepad playing mechanics. QEMU USB Gamepad can be used for the FUNs of it instead of standard keyboard/mouse combo. Whatever "Trash"Boxes or "JUNK_PC"em game port emulation is yet another JOKE to LAUGH OFF in usability. Such *\*RUBBISH\** PC emulators can only dream of USB emulation in what has been standard in QEMU for years.
Finally, for the non-believers, GOOD LUCK with VMware/VirtualBox OR even setting out on an adventurous journey into the wonders of Wine/DXVK/Proton on modern Linux.
