Shiny Entertainment, Sacrifice (2000), is a unique RTS of its time, playing as magical wizard, serving the warring GoDS with the humorous fantasy that -- ALL GoDS are BAD -- Well, isn't it an analogy of the Unprofessional Moderator playing GoDS in VOGONS?!🤣

Sacrifice PC OEM bundled CD version was used in the video. It is a full game similar to retail CD release. The version included official Patch3 right of the CD. No fans mods or any 3rd-party patches are required. The Game was fully restored in absolutely "pristine condition" to play with QEMU virtual machines. The version may differ from those obtained through digital releases.

The Game graphics engine was one of its kind back then by employing tessellation in characters rendering, optimizing for Direct3D7 T&L capabilities. It even include a nice on-screen stats for FPS and rendered polys for ease of benchmarking. The Game was acknowledged as the first game on the market to make full use of the new graphic cards in the league of GeForce 2 and Radeon series. However in modern context, such games face difficulties in restoration due to the deprecation of "Fixed-Function Pipelines (FFP)" in modern GPUs. Nowadays, FFPs mostly live within the emulation by high-level shading languages in modern GPUs. WineD3D is no exception making heavy use of GLSL in Direct3D7 FFPs emulation. This can be extremely slow and make such games unplayable or require beefy desktop-class GPUs. Thankfully, WineD3D also has the configuration option forcing GLSL disabled and falling back to GL_ARB/EXT mapping of FFPs. Though it can significantly boost the game performance, it depends largely on OpenGL deprecated functions that pose increasingly difficulty even for WineD3D to maintain as GPU architectures evolve over time.

In matching the Game humorous GoDS theme, a JOKE forthcoming, shall we?!🤣 The qemu-3dfx project plays out as the *\*EVIL\** wizard summoning the Demons of Virtualization, torment, cleanse & sacrifice the Unbelievers' Souls of worshipping Accuracy *\*BS\** in whatever "Trash"Boxes or "JUNK_PC"em. As Charnel said, "Where there is joy... yes, well, one could hardly have joy without another's suffering, no?" 🤣🤣

HAVE FuNs! The video delivered the content for those who supported & donated to the project & Game Preservation precisely to play the game on QEMU. Google is everyone's Best Friend!!
