QEMU Konami Metal Gear Solid PC (2000) -- From Install to Play in 15 Mins
9A story-rich, unique tactical espionage gameplay from Konami legendary Metal Gear IP was a game ahead of its time. Despite the shortcoming of technology, the game remained a critical hit upon release on the PS1 console in 1998. The PC port came shortly after in 2000 though its materials largely remained the same as the PS1 console with the exception for high resolution rendering on the PC. Unfortunately, the PC port which was based on DirectX 6.1 3D acceleration had serious compatibility issues on modern GPUs. A 2004 remake of the same game (..sadly..) was only available for GameCube that spotted an uplift to the graphics with much higher polygons models.
