QEMU Clive Barker's Undying (2001) -- From Install to Play in 15 Mins
Wanna feel the shivers down the spine in the mid of howling Halloween night? Well, Clive Barker's Undying (2001) is the perfect horror game to play, matching the Halloween festive atmosphere of "ghosts-everywhere" on the streets. The Game is in perfect preservation in pristine condition right off the archived CUE/BIN image, despite the infestation of SafeDisc DRM. No patch, No fans' made mods, not even a No-CD crack, thanks to Daemon Tools. The Game also features EAX environmental audio and that is taken care of by DSOAL/OpenAL-Soft, greatly enhanced the quality of gameplay. QEMU featuring qemu-3dfx remains the BEST and highest quality of Game Preservation in FOSS PC emulation that leverages modern technology in CPU virtualization, TRUE GPU acceleration and Windows Games compatibility of upstream Wine for Direct3D. There is NO **\*BS\*** of Accuracy in emulation or the superfluous timing precision from the "other camp" whatever "Trash"Boxes or "JUNK_PC"em. 🤣...🤣
Clive Barker's Undying is built on Unreal engine. While it also supports 3Dfx Glide renderer, only dgVoodoo2 is capable of rendering the Game correctly for mirror reflections. Since dgVoodoo2 is Windows native, the video selected Direct3D renderer using WineD3D to showcase the rendering quality that is consistent across Linux and Windows. Consistency is what QEMU Virtual Machines deliver for any games that work on QEMU. When they work on QEMU, most likely they just work on any OSes among Linux, Windows and macOS. Progression of OS updates rarely impact how QEMU behaves for being FOSS and the peace-of-mind isolation of Virtual Machines. On the other hand, the advancement of OS underlying virtualization support, such as WHPX and KVM, will further improve performance & compatibility of x86 PC emulation.
As always, thanks for those who supported and donated to the project and Game Preservation. Happy Halloween🎃 2023 and have FUNs at spooky encounters with Ghosts👻, Zombies and 💕Sexy Vampires in the neighborhood.
