Quake II Remaster - Combat Jam 1 Playthrough (Hard Difficulty)
Second Map-Center Q2 speedmap jam, where it's all focused on combat, detailed levels be damned. 6* maps to go through (realistically 8, since one is a second part of a map used as a final battle and other is a harder version of the same map). Hub's made by Shartuterie.

The Infinite Curse Of Stroggs (Mizuki):
Hope the Buckethead music doesn't get the vid nuked.
The map is solid and the combat encounters are well balanced. And a lightspeed mutant, what.
Reactor Bossfight (Lil Deezus):
Exactly what it sounds like, you fight BWG in a vertical arena. There is also an EXTREME version of the map and... it needs to be seen to be believed. It also seems like originally, you would've had to fight a giant Makron in that version, thank god that was changed.
Welcome To: "Death By Box!" (Konig)
A cool idea of giving you different challenges in a game show setting, though there's 5 trials, not 10 as the map would make you believe. Maybe they were planned, but the 48 hour deadline was the culprit.
The Pit (TCGFox):
A gladiator arena that can softlock you if you go inside the spawner areas. I would say "first map" stigma, but given the nature of speedmap jams and the theme of this one, I'm letting it slide. It's alright.
Stroggfire Reborn (Shartuterie):
A nod to a game I don't know, maybe I'd appreciate more if I did, but I digress. The prisoner saving bonus was neat and the railgun somehow missed hitting the turrets. Again, I'd probably have more to say if I played the original game, but it's still a good map.
The Oreworks (Nicco):
Again, solid map, the room with circling lasers was cool (although I was a bit of a dum-dum there) and the elevator fight was a bit hectic, but fair. However, the map was split into two parts, with the second one being the final map of this mapset (I didn't know, btw, I just decided to go from left to right). The second part is a boss onslaught, two-phased Makron, a Guardian and multiple enemies, including two Medic Commanders, you need to bait Makron into firing a BFG into them if you wish to survive. I somehow managed to throw Jorg around like a pinball.
