Quake II Remaster - Sewer Jam 1 Playthrough (Hard Difficulty)
Second Map-Center Q2 map jam with 8* new maps to go through, all with a sewer theme. The asterisk is because two of the maps are split into two parts, so realistically, you play 10 maps. The pipeworks hub was made by PalmliX.

Disodium Flow (Shadesmaster):
A solid map, nothing else to say, just be careful not to waste too much ammo.
Bio-Energy Lab (Em3raldTig3r):
A very good level, the looping around to the central pump room means you won't get lost and can quickly follow your objectives. The quad secret did get a good chuckle out of me.
Water Treatment 201 (Brando):
Needs a bit more texture variety, instead of mostly using just that one gray texture, it's still an alright map aside from that. The last battles were quite tough, but nothing too bad, though the rising water through the watergate controls platform could've been telegraphed a bit better via text or something beforehand.
Sewer Cover (Shartuterie & Lil Deezus):
The first two-parter map of the set; first part is about getting inside and dealing with a big horde of enemies, so camping in the chute or the alcoves under the walkways will not help you much. The second part is a set of trials you need to complete, the cargo one is the unique one, while the others are just challenging encounters, including a massive Black Widow Guardian (the transition after beating her is because the map didn't autosave when beating the meat chamber). A very challenging, but a solid map overall.
Shambo: First Blood (Ziutek):
Movie reference aside, this map was alright, cramped a fair bit in some areas and while the "choose your weapon for final battle" is cool, it mostly boils down to "which power-up do you want to the most and why is it quad damage." It's not like I didn't screw myself over when I used it on the Shambler Generator before the final battle.
A Dash Through Sewer Trash (Nicco):
Good map. The "Oversized Sewer Rat" was pretty funny and the encounter with the Mutants and Gekks, where you're forced to take the double damage power-up was quite cathartic.
Wrong Place, Wrong Time (Y4R1L0):
A very slow, atmospheric start, then a massive Mutant to cap it off. A quick trip to the surface, then back into the sewer system with mutants and finally ending in a Strogg Facility. The section where you have to fight against the water currents was quite painful, if you don't know that strafe-running & holding space makes you move faster above water, you're not surviving it. The final battle can also sod off, playing Peek-A-Boo to not get blasted to smithereens.
Subject 42 (Doom-Shakalaka):
Hope the Opeth song doesn't nuke the vid.
The second two-parter of this set and a quick word of advice: keep this one for last. You will not have or get the blaster at any point, so you need to make do with other weapons and a chainfist, as it's a very tough map. For most of the first part, you're stuck in darkness with a flashlight, meaning you need to hunt for 4 Power Cores to bring the power back online. Take it slowly, or you're getting destroyed. The second part then becomes a proper sewer, where you make your escape, while also dealing with the namesake of the map. Bumbling in the dark aside in the first part (which could also just be me), it's a very good map. Also, the flashlight broke for the rest of the playthrough, I don't know how.
