And we move onto another expansion pack for an Id game, in the second entry into the Id Game Expansion Pack Block 1. Scourge of Armagon, Ritual Entertainment's first commercial release, and it shows. Odd, since I had a lot of fun with their second entry. I am again using a special engine here, QuakeSpasm, since GLQuake kept throwing up error messages when I tried to run it.

At any rate, what we're playing now is more professional in some senses than the Final Doom TNT: Evilution wad. We have new weapons and new enemies to go with the new levels. (Though, Quake was a lot easier to mod for content like that thanks to the QuakeC programming language.) It appearently was a standalone again, though I don't have the disc as I purchased it through Steam. I'm not getting any music either, could be the engine, could be the Steam release.

I don't like Quake 1 as much as I like Doom. And I don't like these levels as much as the better ones in Final Doom TNT: Evilution. At least this appears to be a lot shorter. -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/the_nametag
