R-Type Final 2 Stage X5.0 Underwater with Hades R-Typer

The Hades is the next variation of the Cerberus, and is essentially the same, except it has another loop on its Wave Cannon. The red weapon fires a continuous red beam. The blue weapon fires two beams that will bend towards an enemy, giving it semi homing capability. The yellow weapon starts at the bottom of the Force and wipes its way upward towards the top of the screen - it's an insanely powerful weapon against popcorn enemies and larger enemies (if you get close to them when it starts to fire). The Anchor Force doesn't shoot while detached, but will claw into whatever enemy you throw it at. It also has a chain attached to it that damages enemies that fly through it. The missile is the Photon Missile, and homes in on its target and causes a small AoE blast. Bits are standard Round Bits that fire with the red weapon equipped. The Wave Cannon is a homing lightning blast that is very useful against all enemy types.
The Distorted Ecosystem stage is a remix of Twisted Ecology from R-Type Final. In R-Type Final, if you broke blue or red pegs on the boss, you would play the next variation of the stage on your next play through. I like that it changes based on the doors that you shoot here, allowing you to see the changes immediately.
The boss is Negus O Shim, and in R-Type Final was a hanging sac that used tentacles to fire bullets at your ship. Here it flies around dropping pods into the atmosphere. In the desert, they exploded firing bullets, in the swamp they traveled the surface of the water and fired at you, and underwater they're like jellyfish. Negus O Shim tends to float in a way that's difficult to hit its weak point, so I always use the lightning Wave Cannon to hit it. It's tough for me to deal with the pods and the boss without timing it out otherwise.
Personal note - originally I did this stage with the Cerberus, but after I finally recorded stage Y3.0, I redid this one with Hades the next morning.
