The upsurge in the number of ISAF troops killed and wounded by renegade Afghan forces - so called Green on Blue attacks - has meant that the British military preparing to deploy to Helmand in a few weeks are being taught how to guard against "an enemy within."

Forces News has been on exercise with RAF Regiment gunners on Stanford Training Area in Norfolk, where they have been using a replica of an Afghan compound.

They are due to deploy to Afghanistan In October where they will have the heavy responsibility of security for the mission-critical airhead at Camp Bastion, patrolling out into the surrounding areas and engaging with locals.
