Description:
Cloud is an ex-SOLDIER turned mercenary, who accepts a job from Avalanche, an eco-terrorist group that opposes his former employer. Avalanche believes that Shinra's Mako Reactors will drain Gaia of its Lifestream, dooming the environment in the process. Unfortunately, the ultimate SOLDIER Sephiroth resurfaces after his apparent death, threatening all life on the planet once more.

0:00 Title
0:29 Opening
4:40 Mako Reactor 1
My muscle memory from Crisis Core is going to be the death of me. There are so many new mechanics to keep track of. Also, Punisher Mode just feels like worse Battle Stance.
17:02 Mako Reactor 1 Interior
Barret gives a speech about the dying planet, but doesn't mention his true motives. IMO, it's weird Avalanche mainly focuses on the environment harm done by the company, but doesn't mention the imperialistic harm as much, since Barret's main beef is more related to the latter.
22:39 Mako Reactor 1 Utility Access
Barret is better at dealing with targets outside of Cloud's reach.
33:24 Mako Reactor 1 Core
You can choose the countdown, and 20 is enough IMO.
35:20 Boss: Scorpion Sentinel
It took me several tries to get a half-decent attempt.
Thunder makes it pressured easily, but I was scared to spend too much MP. Once it's pressured, try to hit it with as many Focus commands as possible.
Eventually, it will put up a shield, and you have to attack the shield generator at its backside. However, if you aren't perfectly next to the generator, your attacks will bounce off the limbs instead. I really should have used Fire on the generator to speed up the process slightly and not sit on too much ATB. I also should have taken the risk of using Punisher Mode on the generator. IMO, this is the toughest phase because of how tricky it is to hit the generator.
The tail laser phase requires you to hide behind debris, and once it finishes firing a laser, it becomes pressured. This phase is by far the easiest because of all the free pressure opportunities.
The regen phase requires you to break its legs to stop its healing and pressure it. If you spent a ton of MP in earlier phases, this could be tough, otherwise it's the second easiest phase.
42:00 Escape from the Reactor
The Scorpion activates the bomb as it dies, so you need to hightail it now. You'll take an alternate route back to the top, so there's a chest you need to watch out for.
You'll run into Shock Troops, which autododge normal attacks, but can be countered with Punisher Mode.
Shinra commands the robots to make the explosion worse, either to catch us in the explosion or for PR purposes.
52:00 Aftermath
The Avalanche members are shocked by the extent of the damage.
