Description:
Cloud is an ex-SOLDIER turned mercenary, who accepts a job from Avalanche, an eco-terrorist group that opposes his former employer. Avalanche believes that Shinra's Mako Reactors will drain Gaia of its Lifestream, dooming the environment in the process. Unfortunately, the ultimate SOLDIER Sephiroth resurfaces after his apparent death, threatening all life on the planet once more.

0:00 Recap
0:22 Sector 7 Slums
When Cloud goes to bed, he has a talk with Tifa.
Later that night, the ghosts from Chapter 2 appear before him and Sephiroth starts hitting on him telepathically. When he wakes up, he finds that there's an entire invasion of these guys in Sector 7 Slums.
You'll have to fight a mob of them alongside Tifa, and then make your way to 7th Heaven.
7:19 Boss: Enigmatic Spectre
You have to defeat a few mooks first, which causes the boss to become pressured.
8:45 Sector 7 Slums
The ghosts injure Jessie and run off. Now Barret has no choice but to rehire Cloud to fill in for the Mako Reactor 5 mission.
I actually managed to get Intel Reports 3 and 4 with those battles, so that got me some nice materia from Chadley.
Barret's gear and materia are now part of the collective. Our gear comrade!
Before taking the train with Barret, make sure you have two Lightning materia. You'll get a third one before the next boss.
16:15 Train
Barret gets into another argument with the Shinra Middle Manager from before.
Unfortunately, we fail the second ID check and Cloud has to fight some new robots by himself. There's a reason he has both Assess and First Strike materia.
24:04 Corkscrew Tunnel
You can go the wrong way in order to troll your party members.
The party uses Stamp graffiti to determine the correct direction. Ironic that Shinra's mascot is used for Avalanche's purposes. We're going to co-opt the cute dog that they co-opted.
Throughout the whole trek, Heidegger watches our progress from the security cameras and seems to have something prepared to intercept us.
38:07 Miniboss: Gashstrike Queen
39:30 Corkscrew Tunnel
IMO, the mob of two flamethrower troops and two missile turrets is harder than the actual boss.
52:19 Boss: Crab Warden
The generator can be annoying to deal with, since it initially only shows up when it's staggered and if it's in a bad position, the metal boxes can get in the way.
Since Cloud is the best caster by a mile, I recommend saving at least 22 MP for the last stretch of the battle.
You have to attack the legs to put the boss in a pressured state. You can continue attacking the legs to stagger it or use focus skills on the main body.
When it summons drones, you shouldn't bother attacking the drones, since they will just be resummoned. Once you get the boss into the next phase, the drones will automatically disappear.
The boss's Surge skill electrifies the tracks, so you must avoid the tracks when it prepares the skill. Barret can still shoot it as long as he's in a safe spot.
When the pilot is exposed, have Cloud cast Thundara on the pilot to instantly kill them and cast another Thundara on the now exposed generator. If you're berserked, the second Thundara should deal about 3K damage.
I did an okayish job I think, but I could have done better with Tifa on the second stagger segment by spamming her Y button attacks, since it combos from Rise, Omin, Whirl, which you can finish off with a dive kick. I really should have realized that sooner, but the game forces you to solo with Cloud so much up to this point that there aren't many opportunities to master other characters.
57:34 Corkscrew Tunnel
Heidegger is annoyed by the party's victory and blames his troops for some reason instead of blaming the engineer.
The boss should have dropped a new physical-focused weapon for Tifa, so make sure to upgrade that. Make sure to prioritize getting a new material slot on it first so that you don't have to remove any materia.
