Description:
Cloud is an ex-SOLDIER turned mercenary, who accepts a job from Avalanche, an eco-terrorist group that opposes his former employer. Avalanche believes that Shinra's Mako Reactors will drain Gaia of its Lifestream, dooming the environment in the process. Unfortunately, the ultimate SOLDIER Sephiroth resurfaces after his apparent death, threatening all life on the planet once more.

The destruction is really bad due to Shinra making the explosion worse. How bad would it be if they didn't?
Jessie gives Cloud the Cure materia and gives the player access to the equipment menu. If you picked 20 minutes for the timer, you'll also get some bonus consumables.
4:54 Sephiroth's Taunt
When Cloud heads towards the station, a structure collapses and separates him from the rest of Avalanche. He sees a fire, which causes him to hallucinate Sephiroth, or rather, Sephiroth takes advantage of his trauma to remotely manipulate his mind. Sephiroth also gloats about killing Cloud's mother, just to fill Cloud with even more hatred.
9:39 Sector 8 Upper
Eventually, you'll see Aerith being attacked by invisible enemies, but they don't seem to deal any real damage to her. Cloud will hallicinate Sephiroth again, who implies that Cloud will fail to protect Aerith. Aerith offers a flower, and if you accept, you get to wear it until you get to Seventh Heaven.
When the invisible enemies attack again, Aerith grabs Cloud's arm, causing him to see them too. Aerith runs off when the Shinra troops show up and the ghost enemies chase after her, leaving Cloud to do his usual terrorist activities.
At the square, you'll run into several waves of Shinra enemies, including Shock Troops. Hope you still remember how to use Punisher Mode.
Before the Huntsman boss, there's a pile of boxes. If you can't top out your MP, save and reload near the boxes to respawn them repeatedly.
25:10 Boss: Huntsman
You have to fight a wave of regular guys first. The next wave will then advance and the Huntsman will follow shortly afterwards. As for the Huntsman, your frontal attacks will bounce off and leave you vulnerable, but Fire can help pressure him. If he's already close to being pressured, he might get pressured after bouncing your attack. Punisher Mode is not that good for defending, since the counterattack happens automatically and can screw you over against multihit attacks.
As Cloud escapes onto the train, one of the troopers recognizes something about him. It's ambiguous if he recognizes Cloud himself or the Buster Sword. On NG+, you might not be equipped with the Buster Sword though.

Barret gets into an argument with a bunch of Shinra employees, who piss him off because they despise Avalanche's terrorism and they believe in Shinra's propaganda about prosperity. Much like a certain someone in Corel once did.
38:07 Sector 7 Slums
Cloud hallucinates the fall of the plate.
If you have the flower, Cloud will give it to Tifa.
46:01 Turning in for the Night
Tifa finds Cloud an apartment room, but Avalanche is still saving up to pay Cloud. That night, Cloud hears his neighbor making weird sounds and pays a visit, only to find Sephiroth. Turns out it's actually Marco, who went through the same experiments as Cloud and is therefore a Sephiroth clone with little will of his own anymore. Of course, the party doesn't know Marco is in danger of being taken over at any time.
52:47 Sector 7 Slums - The Next Day
Cloud has to help Tifa with replacing the water filters of several slum residents. The money for this service will go towards Cloud's mercenary fees.
We can use Cloud's apartment to rest like an inn, but we won't always have access to this. I may need to use the crate reloading trick for some situations.
Biggs teaches us how to upgrade our weapon. Now we have to help fight the local monsters, and Tifa joins the party.
