And here we commence stage six, the final area of the game. And this place is weird and eerie. The area outside the windows is essentially the same kind of green energy that was used on Ashram, and a lot of powerful monsters are here, including those undead kings that basically took notes from Death of the Castlevania games. In that brief encounter where we literally were no match for them, we have plenty of power to take them out now.

The Will o Wisp spell absolutely murders them as it's a light spell being cast upon undead. After unlocking the final doors, we gain access to the best bow in the game, but I retrieve Indra after the boss rush. And it's literally the bosses at their default levels which combined with the levels Deedlit has since gained, and the damage output of the weapons we now have, we make mincemeat out of the earlier boss roster, and by extent due to the levels we gain, are able to curb stomp the late game bosses as well.

And after that, the reality of this place begins to show it's cracks to Deedlit, when confronted with Parn the monument from the beginning of the game begins to rear it's head again, a memory is really forcing it's way back into her mind and it's hurting fierce. After perusing Parn to the depths of this upper spiraling chamber, Deedlit has her memory finally return. This whole place, and even Parn himself is an illusion.

And here I make the biggest correction of my run. It's tricky but if you are at least almost level 50, have Shade, you have a solid chance. You have to time your use of Shade just right as it makes you invincible briefly, and this is crucial. To get the final weapon in the game you can't buy, you have to defeat the "Memory" without taking damage. If you can clear the memory before it's done with Slayn, you have the fight in the bag. After that it'll switch to Etoh and he'll briefly heal unless you do a lot of damage before he can channel his spell.

After that it's Woodchuck and he'll do a jumping knife toss volley that'll aim right at you, so using Shade at the right moment will keep you safe. And then after that it's Ghim and he's really tough as he hurls his axe far, and will do a dash too and then we start the cycle back at Parn. Also if Slayn finishes you'll have those dang dragon tooth skeletons to deal with for the rest of the fight. But if you take the Memory out without taking a hit, it'll drop Parn's sword. Or at least an illusion version of it.

But after that all holds are gone as the illusion is falling apart, and the eye we saw at the title screen and also kept cropping up each time someone appeared, finally reveals itself. It's Nihil, the "Spirit of Loneliness". Taking up Parn's sword we teach this freak what for taking advantage of Deedlit's mourning as the truth is revealed. This is a far more satisfactory way to conclude the run of the game, and is by extension the "canonical ending" for my Tales of The Multiverse fanfic. Since it feels more fitting to beat the final boss with the weapon of the very illusion it was using on us.
