152Today we archive an indie horror game that clearly takes its inspiration from the popular Fears to Fathom series. I absolutely adore those games, so I am always happy when I find a new game that is inspired by that. Refuted Wind tells the story of a guy who is making a documentary about some strange incidents that have been occuring.
We have to do our daily tasks as slowly weird things start happening around us. The game is a bit basic since the development team was very little and it feels like a Fears To Fathom game for beginners. I do love that the game is prettier than the Fears to Fathom games and would love to see more games in that style with a great graphics engine. Some of the scares were a bit predictable while others were quite good.
It plays it safe and hope that the developers will try new things with their next project. I think this is a solid first try and hope that they can find their own identity more with their upcoming work.
