Today I'm gunna show you how to rent a video game in China. We stopped by a kiosk inside a shopping mall in Huaqiangbei, Shenzhen where we met a shopkeeper Susu to see what he had.

All of their games are locked in a shelf, and there's a book with about 100 PS4 games including VR titles.
The list is updated weekly, and he even gets popular titles on launch day, like Nioh.
I checked out his library to see what he's been playing. He's very knowledgeable and very honest, and even recommended that we don't get Little Big Planet 3 because it's free this month for PS plus subscribers.

So I picked membership to his store for 600 RMB per year plus 300 deposit. Not bad considering I can return games whenever I want. And there's no limit to how long you can rent it. I thought it would be good to pick up two more controllers so I can get some 4 player going.

The red and grey were more expensive than the standard black but he gave me a little discount.

And they were also selling PSVR headset.

Xbox gamers don't need to worry he's got you covered, even if it's not quite as popular as the PS4 in China. He has some nice controls for it though. And he also sells Vita and DS games as well as accessories.

Next it was time to break out the book and get my card. Awesome there it is. Oh you gotta put your name on it too man on the back. I gave him my Chinese drivers license and he filled in the details. You don't need one but it's convenient. The grand total for two controllers, a one-year membership plus deposit came to $1600 RMB. Not bad at all, finally i signed my card and was ready to roll.

Overall, renting a game is china is cheap, fast, and convenient, even though there's not too many game store right now. But that's not a problem, because I can just drop the game in the mail and ask him to send me a new one. So which game should I get next?
