After that hack work around to making his inverted knees work even with Character Creator 4 humanoid only rigging system I was finally able to skin weight and test animate Metal Sonic. There are additional sub animations on the jet pack, its fans and fins move but they are separate maya assets I have socketed back into the main skeletal mesh. Now moving on to story boarding since all the main actors are rigged and seem to work seamlessly now. Only going to be Robotnik and Metal for this upcoming scene.
