The version tested was 1.9.10.21 on both consoles.

The gameplay rendering resolutions are as follows: 3840x2160 on Xbox One X in the Native 4K Mode, 3840x2160 using what appears to be a form of Checkerboard Rendering in the Enriched Visuals Mode, and 1920x1080 for both the base Xbox One and the Xbox One X in the High Frame-Rate Mode.
The rendering resolutions for most main cutscenes are as follows: 2880x2160 on Xbox One X in the Native 4K Mode, 2880x2160 using what appears to be a form of Checkerboard Rendering in the Enriched Visuals Mode, 1920x1080 on Xbox One X in the High Frame-Rate Mode, and 1440x1080 on the base Xbox One.
Some minor cutscenes that transition directly into gameplay render at the same resolution as gameplay on all consoles.

The Enriched Visuals Mode features graphical improvements over the Native 4K Mode such as: a higher level of texture filtering, improved LODs, improved foliage shadows, increased ground detail, improved draw distance and a reduction in aliasing (2:55). All Xbox One X versions feature improvements to texture quality over the base Xbox One. The High Frame-Rate Mode on Xbox One X appears to be using a form of temporal anti-aliasing instead of the post-process anti-aliasing used on the base Xbox One and this results in noticeably reduced aliasing in some scenes (2:55).

The Xbox One X in the High Frame-Rate mode when outputting at 4K appears to be using Nearest Neighbour scaling which results in a sharper but more pixelated image than other forms of upscaling. The base Xbox One footage was scaled in a similar way for this video. The Native 4K mode has some strange artifacts where single black pixels appear in the frame and this appears to be exclusive to this mode.

Edit: Performance in the Geothermal Valley can vary with the frame rate in the High FPS mode sometimes only dropping down to the high thirties.
