Robbing the Luddic Path Blind - Let's Play Starsector #3 - Dual Hammerheads - Viewer's Choice
The great thing about Starsector is that progression is not always about who can flex their space muscles the hardest. In fact, especially because this is the early game on Normal, our squad is consistently outmanned and outgunned. But there is still profit to be had if you risk the biscuit, especially if that biscuit ends up in a Luddic Path system. It doesn't count as stealing if it's from those jerks, right? Anyway, look out for some big gets that have me excited about the future and what is to come in this series.
Also...all those volatiles...it's like every video we're leaving something behind in space.
Starsector is a game where you get together a squad of spaceships and try to carve your own place out in the stars. Will you turn a profit from trade? Or how about shoot down some pirates to defend a fringe colony? Bounty hunting sound good, or how about becoming a pirate yourself and turning the tables? The galaxy is open to you, just be wary of any AI you might bump into along the way. Although this game is still in Alpha and in deep development, this is one of the greatest games I have ever played and I am very excited it won the viewer's choice selection. The mechanics are deep. The lore is interesting. And once you get your feet wet there are all sorts of mods out there to play with.
Speaking of mods, this play through is a slightly modded version, adding more face choices and some extra dialogue boxes during combat. No mods have been included that fundamentally change how the game is played mechanically (despite some REALLY NICE quality of life mods being out there).
