Rolling Line Ep. 76 - KiwiRail DX 1975 on a logging railroad
DX 1975 has somehow managed to escape her home at the Esplanade Scenic Railway.
In this video, we look at the nice little layout called 'Loggers Point RR'. This was made by WhaleWithAngerIssues, and has the theme of an American logging railroad, which I quite like. Sure this layout is small, but its lack of size is made up for by having a good amount of detail and charm.
For those that don't know, the Esplanade Scenic Railway is a miniature railway in New Zealand - more specifically the city of Palmerston North. The three engines on the line are based on real diesel locomotive types that have run in this country, and each of them is numbered after the year in which they were built:
DA 1969
DX 1975
DXR 1997
I have been to this railway at least twice, and I have also photographed the real DX 1975:
