Royal British Legion bikers ride to Clarence house to meet Prince of Wales 17.06.11
Around 100 bikers from the Royal British Legion met the Prince of Wales at Clarence House on Friday. They rode from around the country to central London for a lunchtime reception hosted by Prince Charles. Among them was "Big Steve Blundell" who chaperones the families of dead servicemen and women when they're repatriated to the UK, and pass through Wooton Bassett. After the reception The Riders Branch Chairman, JJ Jarvis, said: "We are honoured that The Prince of Wales has recognised the activities of the branch, including the role we take in paying respects to those who have lost their lives on active duty. "It was a privilege to meet The Prince, who was very enthusiastic about our work and motorcycling. We left him an open invitation to join the branch as an honorary member anytime."
