Hey everyone, we're back! In this RPG Maker Let's Play, we look at the world of The Last Chronomancer by Guld. We try something new here, taking note through the game and having a longer, bigger critique at the end. Let us know what you think!

This is a good game overall. The presentation is amazing, as are the graphics and music. The developer does a great job of setting the tone, and the map making is also very solid. Heck, this developer does somethign that very, very few actually do... he makes the default battle system fun and useful.

Now, there are a few mechanical issues. Mainly, the six heroes either all need to be on the battlefield at once (not preferred), or there needs to be a way to hot-swap the heroes like in Final Fantasy X (much more preferred). Also, each hero needs their own unique skills... no overlaps. Let each hero contribute something that no one else can.

Also, after some discussion, we really think that the "origin" part is not implemented well enough to keep. Since all six heroes get equal screen time once in the main story, we advise the developer to just have the player start with Daery. She descends from "main character" status and is just "one of the party" very early... which is what we think the developer was after.

Now the plot and characters as a whole... well, that's where the game breaks down... especially at the bad guy's "evil plot." We go into great detail at the end of the video, and we'd like your thoughts on it. What do you think is the best way to handle this game's story as to not be confusing of just a collection of tropes? Let us know in the comments below!
