Overview

Run Like Hell is a fast paced running game that has you taking on the role of a treasure hunter trapped in an island full of cannibalistic inhabitants, in this game, you will need to run, slide climb, crawl and jump to save your life and avoid being eaten by the locals, it won't be that easy though as there are a lot of perils along the way, like obstacles and wild creatures and insects, not to mention the relentless natives running behind you, ever getting closer every time you hit an obstacle and slow down, indeed it's going to be one frantic adventure to save your life, the game features a 30 level story mode and an endless mode where you can truly challenge your running and jumping skills and time trials to test how fast you can escape the natives, there are even new locations that you can play, like the Yeti, Avalanche and Heartbreaker Editions, surely, you'll run like hell when you play this game...and if you think you have beaten the achievements and challenges the game has to offer, check out the leaderboards and compare your stats with other player all over the world and see who's the fastest runner of all...so are you up to the challenge?

Graphics and Sound

Run Like Hell has beautiful graphics, the character models look cool, from the hero to the local inhabitants that are ever chasing after you, the environments are nice too, you'll see, vegetation of different kinds, ruins of ancient structures and of course the platforms that runs through the game, colors are also great, the game looks vivid and nice throughout, animations are also great, everything is smooth, all the objects that moves are nicely animated to give it a smooth and fluid movements, music and sounds are also cool, and really contributes to make the game more fun to play, special effects on the other hand are not too flashy, kept simple as the game does not really need gorgeous visuals, it is quite fun as it is, overall, the game is really pretty as a whole, although not spectacular, it looks quite pretty still.

Gameplay

Run Like Hell is a fast paced running game, but this isn't like your usual running game, there are actually more games to do here besides running and jumping, you can actually make your character climb and even crawl, and unlike the other running games out there that kills your character upon hitting the obstacles, this game does not, it actually only slows the character down, but be careful though as the cannibalistic locals get closer to you once you hit too many obstacles, and before you know it, spears will rain down on you, it's going to be a frantic experience indeed and it's going to be fun, there are also some cool powerups available in the game, use them wisely to give you a breather when they get too close and personal, be sure to collect those coins so you can open up new levels and other game modes.

Run Like Hell has nice visuals, designs are also quite nice, there are 3 game modes available, the endless mode, the story mode and the time trial mode each one designed to test your skills and reflexes, the game has 30 levels in all and there are cool powerups to help you out in the levels.

Conclusion

Run Like Hell is kinda fun overall, it just goes to show that side scrolling games although not very popular these days are still fun no matter what, check it out if you haven't played it yet.
