Thousands of monsters are gathering to invade your kingdom. Put your heroes to the test in this retro arcade mobile game called Slayin. There are six heroes you can choose from before you begin your mission; Knight, Wizard, Archer, Ninja, Knave, and Tamer. These classes have their own style of attacks that can become a weakness or your strength in battle. Control your hero and move from left or right while attacking the monsters. Don't let the monsters touch the body of your hero or else you will get hurt. Loot various armors and weapons so you can defeat the bosses quickly.

Overview:

Slayin is an action packed endless role playing game presented in retro arcade and pixel arts, you need to take on the role of a hero and go on an adventure, battling monsters and otherworldly creatures to acquire loot and hopefully stumble upon the most powerful weapons, armor and magic spells available, gain experience and level up to make your character more powerful...and if you're skilled enough, powerful enough and persistent enough...you may just reach the end of the adventure and get the chance to face off with the giant dragon of legend and claim his most valued treasure as a reward for your endeavors, it won't be that easy though as the game is quite tough and challenging...if you die, you die for good and lose your character forever, fortunately, there are 6 powerful classes to choose from, with tons of loot to collect ranging from armor, weapons and even magic spells...all of which are very effective against the enemies...don't be too confident though as you'll lose your character and progress once you die...and you'll have to start all over again, indeed, this is a quest for the skilled and the determined, truly an adventure worth pursuing all the way to the end, so gear up and start Slayin.

Graphics and Sound

Slayin has beautiful retro graphics, it is presented in pixel arts and it looks quite lovely, the character models look cute and pretty regardless of what type of character you choose, to be honest, even the enemies look pretty and nice, environments are pretty too, the different locations you will be exploring look unique from each other, colors are great, the game looks vivid with those soft colors, vegetation and backdrops are pretty and quite sharp, animations are also smooth, although the game is in retro style, movements still looked nice overall, music and sounds are also pretty, the game is in chip tunes and certainly adds up to the retro or classic appeal of the game, special effects on the other hand is quite common, typical of pixel arts by the way, it may not have fabulous visuals to boast but the game still looked pretty all throughout, overall, considering it's classic design, the game still looked quite pretty, retro game enthusiasts would love this one for sure.

Gameplay

Slayin is a very challenging role playing game, if you die, you lose your character for good, so before buying anything else, you should first save up and buy the dragon scale before anything else as it will revive your character when it dies and you can continue with your quest using the same character with all the progress you accumulated still intact, the game is really a challenge and if you're not being careful, you will never last long and see the end and the final dragon boss, timing is the key here, you should perfect you jumps and attacks early on, if you get confronted with multiple enemies, try to keep them on one side of the screen, it is easier this way, fighting enemies in front and back is really harder, controls are quite simple and easy, the characters attacks enemies automatically once they're within range, all you need to do is to move left and right and then jump.

Conclusion

Slayin is not as easy as it looks, it is really quite a challenge, good thing there are lots to do here that will keep you playing for quite a while, just don't get frustrated when you die a lot though as dying is a part of the game...and you're not the only one.
