Red Bull Air Race is an exciting and fast paced air racing game featuring different types of airplanes that you can fly across the skies, experience speeds close to the speed of sound...perhaps even beyond, you will take control of a planes and race around the world in different locations and tracks, you can challenges different plane pilots, beat them at their own game and get their planes, it won't be easy getting those planes though as the pilots are quite skilled at what they do, not to mention their planes are really fast, and if your skills aren't as sharp as theirs, you'll be left in the air...literally, fortunately, there are a variety of planes available for you, each one unique and features their own speeds and other stats, they're upgradable too, don't get me wrong though, a fast plane won't guarantee you the win in this game, you need to sharpen your skills and get the fast planes to beat the other pilots...it won't be easy but it will fun for sure, so are you up to the challenge?, do you have the skills to dominate the skies?, play the game and find out for yourself.

Graphics and Sound

Red Bull Air Race has stunning graphics, the airplane models look awesome and very realistic, they have high details too even if you look at them from tip to tip, environments are also very pretty, the structures presented in them looks quite like the landmarks you see in the featured countries and they have very high details too, colors are also great, the game looks bright and vivid, starting from the planes with their cool paint jobs to the different racetracks, animations are great, the different moving components of the game were nicely animated and really look smooth and fluid, music and sounds are also cool, the soundtrack is very nice and the plane sound effects are very realistic whether you are speeding up or simply cruising the skies, the engine sounds are cool, special effects are awesome too, lighting is very nice, even the water movements are nice, overall, the game looks quite stunning, very pretty indeed.

Gameplay

Red Bull Air Race is a pure racing game at its core, all you will ever do here is to race, win, upgrade and then race again, there are 200 racing events you need to go through, with varying levels of difficulty, you will start out at the bottom and work your way up the ladder by beating different opponents in different racing events all over the world, the tracks here are quite different as you will be racing in the air, there will be gates or pylons you need to pass, you shouldn't miss any of them, otherwise, you will be penalized with time penalties, and if you incur too much, it will certainly cost you the race, the game has simple controls, you can either choose to fly using tilt controls or the touch controls, I prefer the touch controls as it is easier for me...but it all depends on you really as come really prefer the tilt option.

Conclusion

Red Bull Air Race is one cool game to play, I enjoyed racing on the different tracks available in the game, it's not that easy though, the challenges presented are quite tough, especially if you reach the higher levels, the opponents at these levels are very fast.
