S T A L K E R: Call of Pripyat - ( 2022 ) Video #210: "One Hit" ( Take Three & Four )
Since redoing this scenario didn't take much time, producing very short videos, I decided after my third try ( six kills again ) I would just keep recording and reload my Manual Save made with my RPG-7 loadout and try again. My fourth try resulted in my best effort so far with eight kills. That may be the best to hope for now, but I do know I got all 10 of them over a decade ago. It seems I do better when I fire all four rounds of OG-7V, even though by the third and fourth shots I am mainly going for the doorway chokepoint.
Doing this several times has finally allowed me to identify each Mercenary team by their weapons. Jackal's seven-man team has 3 GP-37, 2 RPG-7, 1 IL-86 and 1 AK-74. Serbin's three-man team has him carrying a pistol and the other two Ecologist suited Mercs carry TRs-301s with scopes and silencers. For that reason, my third try with only six kills was a better outcome since I recovered both RPG-7s. Looking at my loot after the third try with six kills, I was missing one of Serbin's men with the TRs-301 and three of Jackal's men being the 2 GP-37s and the AK-74. As I can't buy any OG-7V from the Traders, this loot of only six kills was better than the other six kills and even the seven kills. You can see a rodent spotted me as I crossed between the two buildings but did not pursue me further. I think I only fired three rounds of OG-7V this time too. Strangely when Jackal's group first comes out, one of the Exoskeleton Mercs stoops down low in the hallway to pick up something but I have no idea what.
My fourth try was the best so far with eight kills. I killed both RPG-7 Mercenaries at the doorway and both of them had it next to their bodies. I got all three of Serbin's team and only one GP-37 and the AK-47 got away. What is strange is I ended up with nine pistols despite only killing eight. I'm even seeing two other pistol types I have not seen before, including one Martha. How does that happen? Did the blast make one of the escaping Mercenaries drop his pistol? How do you get an extra pistol from nine men when only eight are killed? Another amusing variation this time is when the same rodent I saw in the previous version, ambushed me going down the stairs. As if the rodent was determined to do better given another chance like I was doing. How does that happen? The more I redo this, the stranger it gets. If eight kills are going to be the best I can do, the least desirable weapons are the IL-86 and the AK-74 equipped Mercenaries escaping and that has not happened yet.
I'm going to try a couple of more times at most and just may have to be happy with this fourth outcome. I may not upload any more redo's if they are no better than what I have done so far, or not.
